Abstract
A method for forming an implantable structure. In one embodiment, the method comprises forming an implantable structure, wherein the implantable structure has desired features that correspond to a biological body. The method comprises collecting a set of data describing the biological body and also constructing a model of the body from the set of data, wherein the model comprises features that reflect the desired features. The method further comprises forming a composite structure from the model. In addition, the method comprises forming an implantable structure using the composite structure as a basis such that the implantable structure has features corresponding to the desired features. In an embodiment, the biological body comprises bone.
