Composite artificial bone and its making process

Composite artificial bone and its making process

Abstract

One kind of porous bone substitute material is made by using polylactic acid and pearl powder as main skeleton material and sodium chloride crystal gains as pore-creating agent and through molding, temperature-controlling forming, water soaking to eliminate salt and create pores and other steps. The said material has most features of ideal bone substitute material and can be regulated in strength, pore size and porosity within certain range for specific requirement. During preparation, some bone inducing component may be added to raise the bone forming capacity of the material. it may be alsoused as tissue engineering material in clinical application.
