23 Jul Coding sequence and application of ABA8′-hydroxylase gene OsABA8ox1 in rice
Abstract
The invention specifically relates to a coding sequence and application of the ABA8′-hydroxylase gene OsABA8ox1 in rice, belonging to the field of gene engineering technology. The invention specifically relates to cloning of the nucleotide coding sequence for the gene OsABA8ox1, homogenous sequence comparison, spatial expression modes of the gene in different homogenous organs and tissue in rice,analysis and identification of changes in the expression modes after drought and high-salinity stress and phytohormone treatment, and molecular identification and stress experiments based on Tilling mutants originated from the rice Zhonghua 11 for detection of changes in the expression level of the gene, resistance changes and the like. The invention also discloses the Tilling mutants, i.e., aba8ox1-1 and aba8ox1-2 of the gene OsABA8ox1. It is found that the mutants are accelerated in ageing under dark conditions compared with wild types. The gene OsABA8ox1 is applicable to breed improvement of plants, including improvement of the anti-ageing performance and dark responsiveness of rice so as to increase rice yield.
