Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a new protein useful as a therapeutic agent for bone metabolic diseases, having bone and cartilage tissue forming and maintaining ability. CONSTITUTION:Mouse OSF-8 having an amino acid sequence from 19th to 556th of the amino acid sequence of the formula, its analog or their fragment. Mouse OSF-8 or its fraction is obtained by genetic engineering method or chemical peptide synthesis.
