Abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide systems, modules, bioreactor, and methods for automatic culture, proliferation, differentiation, production, and maintenance of tissue engineering products.SOLUTION: The present invention provides an automatic tissue engineering system for facilitating a physiological cellular function and/or the generation of one or more tissue constructs from cell and/or tissue sources, the system comprising a housing and a bioreactor which is supported by the housing. A fluid containment system is supported by this housing and is in fluid communication with the bioreactor, one or more sensors are connected with one or more housings, bioreactor or fluid containment systems to monitor parameters related to physiological cellular functions and/or the generation of tissue constructs, and a microprocessor is linked to one or more of the sensors.SELECTED DRAWING: None
