ARTIFICIAL CORNEA, WHICH IS A COLLAGEN-BASED HETEROGENEOUS STIFFNESS MEMBRANE, AND A METHOD FOR PRODUCTION AND USE THEREOF

Abstract

FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Artificial cornea is proposed, which is a collagen membrane of heterogeneous density, suitable for implantation into the human body in order to enhance biomechanical characteristics of the human cornea without loss of its transparency; reinforcement of biomechanical characteristics of cornea leukomae for their preparation to keratoprosthesis; for DALK treatment method of blind-ended corneal leukomae, in which a Descemet’s membrane is not damaged and endothelial cells contained on it are preserved; to create a tissue engineering construct of a corneal analogue by forming a human corneal epithelial cell layer on one of the membrane surfaces and forming a human corneal endothelial cell layer on the opposite side of the membrane.EFFECT: artificial cornea is proposed.16 cl, 4 dwg, 7 ex, 4 tbl
