METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF DECORATIVE FRESCO ELEMENTS ON PLASTER OF PARIS BASE AND THE ELEMENTS THEMSELVES

Abstract

The decorative wall fresco elements are used in civil engineering, in the interior of buildings, in case of restoration works. The method comprises that a mixture of chalk, plaster-of-paris and citric acid in water is poured over a glass surface. After laying a large grain-sized tissue , the mixture hardens and is separated from the surface. Then it is turned over and a relief picture is copied on it. Silicon is applied on the relief layer. Which after hardening is separated from the model thus forming the mould of the decorative element. Large grain-size tissue is placed over the mould, and on it a mixture of plaster-of-paris and citric acid in water is applied on it. After hardening the layer is separated and the desired paints are applied on the relief picture. The fresco element is flexible, can be wound as a wall-paper without cracking, and possesses fine detail of the drawing. 5 claims
