23 Jul CELL COMPOSITIONS FOR USE IN THE TREATMENT OF OSTEO-ARTHROSIS, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
Abstract
The invention relates to the field of tissue engineering, especially the replacement of pathological tissue in joints (mainly bones and cartilage) and the treatment and the prevention of osteo-arthritic conditions in joints. For this purpose, the invention provides a method for producing cell compositions, namely the provision of mesenchymal cells and synovial fluid, as well as mixtures thereof for obtaining a cell composition. The inventive cell compositions are used in the treatment of osteo-arthrosis and articular diseases or defects. The cell compositions are furthermore used for producing transplants. The invention also relates to methods for treating articular defects.
