23 Jul METHOD FOR CULTURE OF SKELETAL MUSCLE STEM CELLS AND USES THEREFOR
Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for culturing skeletal muscle stem cells; the skeletal muscle stem cells cultured by the method; and a cell therapeutic agent and a therapeutic agent for treating musculoskeletal disorders, containing the skeletal muscle stem cells. The method comprises the steps of: impregnating skeletal muscle tissues into hydrogel and culturing the skeletal muscle tissues; and decomposing the hydrogel and collecting skeletal muscle stem cells which are transferred and grown in the hydrogel from the skeletal muscle tissues. The skeletal muscle stem cells cultured by the culture method has superior pluripotency into various body cells such as skeletal muscle cells, osteoblasts, adipocytes, chondrocytes, vascular endothelial cells, or nerve cells and are spontaneously differentiated into skeletal muscle cells without a special differentiation factor, thereby being applied to the production of a novel drug such as a cell therapeutic agent and a tissue engineering therapeutic agent.
