Abstract
The invention belongs to the field of gene engineering, and provides a tea calmodulin-like gene promotor and an application thereof. The tea calmodulin-like gene promotor is any one of the following DNA (Deoxyribose Nucleic Acid) molecules from (1) to (2): (1) a DNA molecule with a DNA sequence as shown in SEQ ID NO.1 and (2) a DNA molecule which is hybridized and encoded with the DNA sequence defined by (1) under a stringent condition and has a promotor function. The tea calmodulin-like gene promotor disclosed by the invention has the advantages of tissue specificity and inducible function, contains a cis-acting element for biotic stress and abiotic stress and a calcium ion related site and is capable of accepting the calcium ion induction to be excessively expressed. According to the tea calmodulin-like gene promotor, a calcium signal as a second messenger influences multiple growth regulation factors, so that the expression of a downstream gene can be induced by calcium ions in a foliar application mode and the like.
