23 Jul Method for preparing poly-epsilon-caprolactone by using activated halloysite as catalyst
Abstract
The invention belongs to the technical field of high polymer chemistry, and particularly relates to a method for preparing poly-epsilon-caprolactone by using activated halloysite as a catalyst. The method comprises the following steps: halloysite activation: calcining halloysite, adding the calcined halloysite into an acid solution to perform acidizing, and carrying out filter centrifugation to obtain the activated halloysite; and ring-opening polymerization reaction: uniformly mixing epsilon-caprolactone with the activated halloysite to obtain a mixture, carrying out ring-opening polymerization reaction under waterless oxygen-free conditions, and carrying out after-treatment on the reaction polymer to obtain the poly-epsilon-caprolactone. The cheap, accessible and stable halloysite is used as the raw material, and the calcined and acidified activated halloysite is used as the catalyst of epsilon-caprolactone ring-opening polymerization instead of the expensive catalyst (such as stannous octoate or the like), so the production cost is low, and the catalytic efficiency is high (the reaction yield is up to 94%). Besides, the prepared polymer poly-epsilon-caprolactone does not have the residues of toxic metal chemicals, and is suitable to be used as a drug controlled-release carrier, tissue engineering material and food packaging material.
