Abstract
Provided is a polypeptide having a phase transition behavior, the polypeptide having a repeated pentapeptide composed of Val-Pro-Gly-Xaa-Gly or Val-Pro-Ala-Xaa-Gly, and comprising an amino acid sequence represented by [Val-Pro-(Gly)-Xaa-Gly]n or [Val-Pro-(Ala)-Xaa-Gly]n. In addition, provided are a multiple-stimuli polypeptide composed of a polypeptide-calmodulin-polypeptide having a phase transition behavior, and a hydrogel prepared by using the same. A dynamic protein hydrogel according to the present invention can be used as a drug delivery carrier, a scaffold for tissue engineering, and a kit for tissue or organ regeneration.
