23 Jul 3 3-dimensional matrices using superhydrophobic electrospun fiber and use thereof
Abstract
The present invention relates to three dimensional matrices using superhydrophobic electrospun fiber, and use thereof. The superhydrophobic fiber contains: a core made of poly (glycerol sebacate); and a sheath positioned on the outer surface of the core and made of polysulfone. According to the present invention, the superhydrophobic fiber and three dimensional matrices reveal fluffy voluminosity and superhydrophobic properties, and also provide excellent elasticity and recovery from compression, thereby being able to effectively play a role of a physical barrier. In addition, the three dimensional matrices of the present invention can maintain the structure and properties thereof even under high temperature and pressure conditions, thereby being able to perform sterilization through an autoclave, which is a relatively simple method. Therefore, the present invention may be widely used in the environment/energy field such as an absorbent for an organic solvent or oil and a sealant for a hydrophilic material, and tissue engineering or biotechnology such as a medical material for local drug delivery.
